The Museum of Applied Arts is already an artwork in itself due to its breathtaking design topped off with a colourful roof consisting of handmade Zsolnay ceramic tiles. Still the collection put on display on its inside is no less beautiful. Visitors can marvel at both contemporary and historical applied art works, stemming from Hungary as well as abroad, that are made of glass, metal, textile or might also be pieces of furniture. As the museum presents these artworks as objects of immense cultural value, you’ll leave its exhibition being able to spot the extraordinary in mundane items.
