Built between 1972 and 1876, Margaret Bridge is the second permanent bridge of Budapest. It connects St. Stephen Boulevard (Szent István Körút) on the Pest side with Margaret Island (Margitsziget) and Margaret Boulevard (Margit Körút) on the Buda side. The bridge was designed by French architect Ernest Goüin in Neo-baroque style. Its complete length is 638 meters, consisting of four traffic lanes.
