Located in the sixth district, the Liszt Academy hosts the most important musical education in Hungary. The National Royal Music Academy was founded in 1875 by famous Hungarian composer and pianist Franz Liszt. The square by which the academy is built bears his name as well: Liszt Ferenc tér. The Liszt Academy has taught many famous Hungarian composers over the years, with names such as Béla Bartók, Zoltán Kodály and Ferenc Erkel.
