Opened in 1849, Széchenyi Chain Bridge is the oldest and most well-known bridge of Budapest. With its imposing stone lions at both ends, Chain Bridge is also one of the most characteristic landmarks of the Hungarian capital. Named after the giant iron chains between its two towers, the bridge connects Adam Clarke Square on the Buda side with Roosevelt Square on the Pest side.
